Loved it, thrilling and engaging, BUT so sentimental, too much crying. Why do the Americans have to go on and on saying 'I love you, I'm so proud of you' all the time. Hilary Swank brilliant (when she wasn't crying) and the story and scientific problem-solving very enjoyable. Great characters, well developed, and a conscious effort to make the expendition to Mars multinational, with other languages which I imagine will make the series more globally acceptable. Accessible science fiction with characters you care about.

Very scary. Loved the mixture of nordic noir and horror. Spent sometime thinking why does the woman always have to go wandering off on her own in the night? An An infuriating horror cliche. But then, without spoiling, there's a resolution to that point.

So much promise but so confused, lacking all the tension and interest of the book and film, unfortunately a mess that makes it hard to hold your interest, in spite of John Turturro's and Rupert Everett's excellence. Hard to stay awake.

Brilliant, enigmatic, thoughtful, very powerful film, keeps you guessing till the end and the two women are fantastic. I especially liked the mother, a courageous performance, subtle & measured. Redemptive, which is the best kind of film I think. What a treat, Spanish cinema is terrific.

A brilliant film. Satire on the terrifying events in Russia up to and after Stalin's death. A dark, sometimes very funny, portrayal of events which, to this day, have not yet led to the ending of Soviet political power & corruption. A doomed attempt to create a society with high ideals. Depressing that we seem unable to create a society based on kindness. Human tragedy that power inevitably descends into depravity. Ionucci is one of the most brilliant satirists of our time, and perhaps satire is the best check against a political class that has lost its reason.
