I thought this was a great book. I love all of the Poe/Tilly books, but I think this is my favourite so far. Loads of twists in it. I struggled to put it down to take the dog out.
Interested to read Terry Pratchett is your favourite author Mike, and that Night Watch is your favourite book, it's mine too. Now I know why your books appeal so strongly!

I loved this program. Funny, crazy and highly entertaining. Because it was so far removed from the real history of the period it didn't jar.
I am so sad at the short sighted decision not to make a second series. Quite stupid to expect instant success and huge audience's in this day and age. Many people don't discover a program for ages in this age of catch up tv. Thank god they didn't cancel BlackAdder or Monty Python after one series, before they had chance to become popular and classic.
