I don't know why everyone's insisting this movie is smart. It is a flat story, with common themes that are better represented in other movies. It is fake-smart, tricking your brain into thinking otherwise with great actors and a ridiculous, overly-produced series of climaxes. I would rather watch every David Lynch movie in a row in a single day, it would be far more intellectually stimulating and significantly less exhausting.
I can't wait until this era of fake-good netflix and hulu productions comes to a halt. I'm disappointed in you, Charlie.
