The premise of a ninja nuns fighting demons and super powers from an angel halo sounds like something straight out of a CW show but Warrior Nun gives us what is fun about CW shows- without the terrible teenage soap opera drama, without the one dimensional superficial characters, without the overall shallowness- in a show of a genre as what I can probably describe as pop fantasy. Think 'Game of Thrones' but without taking itself too seriously or even without being too convoluted. Season 2 is Season 1 amplified. The acting, the script, the amazing action-packed stunt choreography, the development of the characters and the relationships, the lore… So rarely especially recently have I seen a show where a solid first season is followed up by an even better second season but Warrior Nun just gets better with every episode. My favorite thing about the show is it’s heart. We live in a world full of faith and uncertainty existing simultaneously, especially in terms of religion or spirituality and purpose, but what we do know that is certain is love and trust and family. @Netflix, I need a third season. I’m begging you.
