[shakes head in disbelief...] The characters are terrible, no other way to say it. The future of humanity is resting upon a bunch idiots who couldn't put the kettle on without hurting themselves nevermind fly a spacecraft across the galaxy and make first contact with an alien species. William, the holographic crew member, is the only saving grace here. The cgi is 1990s and the script is shocking - including a ridiculous amount of swearing from one of the characters, which is utterly unconvincing in its delivery. Hard to believe this made it to Netflix to be honest. If you haven't started watching it yet, don't bother.
