Why Palermo? Why?
*Spoilers ahead*
Bringing in Palermo, another character extremely similar to Berlin, was tiring to watch. I was honestly relieved when Berlin died in season 2 and was looking forward to Berlin-less seasons, but to my utmost disappointment, they did not only bring in a character who resembled Berlin almost entirely but also brought in Berlin with his plans as well. The love the professor feels for his brother doesn't extend to most viewers. Berlin’s character reminded me of all the psychopathic characters seen in almost any thriller. The only redeeming part of Berlin’s life was his death, and when one is consecutively forced to watch him even after he has died, it makes one think that they are watching the same plot all over again. I hoped Money Heist would have taken a different turn from Season 3 onwards than falling back on the same dead character. But I guess this is what keeps the viewers on their toes, not knowing the psychopath’s next move.
P.S. Just had to mention how Palermo was the reason Nairobi died and it was freaking obvious that someone would end up dying if GandÃa was freed. But Palermo acting like he cared who got killed and being a team player all over again at the end of season 4 was sheer hypocrisy.
