This movie has great story and brilliant acting especially from the lead Actor, and being a psychological thriller explores the emotion of grief, guilt and revenge. At the same time it brings in to light the way women were treated by their husbands in the 1960s. The oppression that comes in the form of " why would you like to do a job when I'm earning well" " you need treatment ", " you are clinging to their child"
But above all it's about the grief of a mother over a child's premature and tragic death.
It goes on showing the depth of grief and guilt and than resentment and blame that the mother experiences in the wake of her shocking tragedy.
Who was right, who was wrong, would things have been different if Alice had acted calmly and vigilantly but that's where logic gets twisted with the way things are dealt.Must watch to be reminded of the positives in one's life who includes having a right as a woman to raise her voice and have more goals
