The movie was average at best. Like most people have stated, it starts better than it ends. But what really gets me is the incongruency of the whole movie. When I see sloppy movie making, it takes me out of the moment and I realize , its all just (poorly made) make believe.
Don Johnson does a fine job of Police Chief, including his "southern" accent. He mentions "parishes" in his dialogue, which indicates that the location of the film is in Louisiana, because that is the only state with parishes instead of counties. They even show Louisiana license plates when necessary. However...
1. They break into the "basement" of the jail/courthouse to steal the hard drives. There are ZERO buildings in Louisiana with basements. The ground will not allow it. It's marsh land and everything is built above ground. Even the graves! (look it up)
2. They show a street sign that says 'Aurora County" Well, again there are no counties in La, and Aurora isn't even the name of a parish.
3. The cop cars in the end have "Shelby county" on the side of them??? Where is that? Texas!
There are others, but I can't remember them all. Its just poor movie making. The story was ok, the acting was decent.
