Kaye Leighton

The is a story of Molly, her strength as a woman and mother in very harsh and brutal circumstances. It’s set in 1893 in the Snowy Mountains so the scenery is both beautiful and stark and it gives a very authentic sense of how people were living on the frontier. The acting is excellent and although there is violence and sadness, it isn’t dwelt upon and In the end it is strength and resilience that shines. This is a good change up from the white male heroism in Man From Snowy River .
