Perhaps this is too harsh - however I found this book lacking. The concept is fantastical and full of potential, but the way the story is told is frustrating and slow and full of plot holes. Not to mention there is no proper conclusion, and one is left with no answers. The world building is just okay, even though half the book is drawings, diagrams and maps. I feel as this book had so much more it could have done.
