I normally avoid 'thrillers' but never having read anything by this author I was persuaded by all the 5 star reviews to give 'Home' a try. Big mistake! I should have read the comments in the 1 star section instead. Yes, it has twists and turns, each more ridiculous and unbelievable than the last one and characters who are equally ridiculous and unbelievable. Everything is the biggest, most expensive, strongest, fastest, most glamorous or outrageous imaginable and described in superlatives (even the pizzas). The dialogue throughout but particularly between the two protagonists is stomach churlingly (is that a word?) awful. I persevered reluctantly to the bitter end but, and I'm being kind, it's complete rubbish and the last time Mr Coben will appear in my reading list.
