Spoilers ahead. By the way, if you’re expecting any comedy from this “rom-com” don’t get your hopes up. There is not a single funny scene in this movie. PLOT: 7/10 - I was a bit bored throughout the movie as someone who prefers action over rom coms, but I do think the movie brought up valid concerns about materialism. I think at the end of the movie, Dakota Johnson’s choice to marry the broke guy was unsatisfying despite the incredible cinematography calling back to the nature of human love (a really beautiful way to express the concept). It’s already established that she needs to live with money, and when you think about the couples future living a broke life together it doesn’t seem as original or happy as that original onset. It was already brought up by Dakota previously in the movie that those couples are going to break up and slowly die out. Although others did not like the conclusion of them getting together, I think it was necessary for a satisfying ending, although I think I would’ve preferred a shot into the future of them as a happy family. ACTING: 9/10 - A lot of reviews are claiming that the lines are monotonous and bland, and while I see it, I think it gives a genuine personality and feel to the movie. Dakota Johnson especially was really impressive, showing real tangible emotion even through that “dull tone” which actually stood out. The soft gentle yet confident reassuring tone really contributed to the overall feel of her character. CINEMATOGRAPHY: 10/10 - the movie was very pleasing visually, and I really liked the choice and display of the “first humans to get married.” That callback was really impactful at the end and an excellent choice.

Wow... this is my new favorite movie. It came with so much comedy and humour, I seriously do not get why this got less then 4.9 stars. The song was incredible, the acting was amazing, and don't even get me started on the characters. They planned it perfectly, and the ending was happy. The story is very amazing... I reccomend 100%. I've already rewatched this 3 times and I have not gotten sick. A family friendly movie I AM TELLING YOU WATCH THIS MOVIE

There are no spoilers in this review. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The entire movie was terrible, the ending was so atrocious it was probably the writers' worst mistake of their lives. I wish I could unwatch all of it. Don't watch this movie for your own sake, it will ruin the entire Tales of Arcadia saga for you!
