Wanted to like the movie so bad because I think my girl kinda did? I’m gonna keep it short and sweet; although it ain’t lack gore and was pretty gruesome, it was MAD corny… I think they focused a bit much on having an all female cast, in which I don’t mind, but damn; gender fluidity seemed very important. Took a minute to understand the story, granted I ain’t know this was a spin-off or a part of a franchise or whatever. Some of the lines/scenes were humorous… whether it was bad acting or directing it just wasn’t it honestly. I mean there was maybe ONE jump scare that scared my girl. Seemed like they just got together and was given some roles and were told to memorize some lines. Didn’t feel like they had any real connection or reactions to the possessions/deaths. Honestly, I knew I wasn’t the only one thinking this film was bad until I was ready to leave a little less than hour into it. Seemed like a lot of others were too because you could hear everyone starting to wrap up and reset the chairs. I knew I should’ve waited for it to be on a streaming service or something to watch it like I always do, just didn’t expect myself and others to be bored enough to wanna leave mid film.
