Great movie, which shows that we're all pretty much the same when it comes to life itself, regardless of our allegiances, languages, country, etc. Primarily it shows the insanity of war. These sailors, all proficient in operating submarines, whether they be U.S. submarines or German U-Boats, cooperate with each other in order to save their own lives. Their allegiance, of necessity, becomes more to the survival of each other than to the war efforts of their respective countries. Very unusual for a movie to depict this. Very nice.
