Perhaps I just didn’t learn enough in school about this tragic social structure. The Kitchen House was a far deviation from my usual reading so here is how it went down. My wife is a member of a book club and this was the book so I read it for her. I am rather tempted to attend to see others opinions. Perhaps the biggest thing I noticed was in owners world, the men totally ruled everything while the slaves operated with even discussion. I’ll read the sequel.
