It was a little crazy, which is something I usually enjoy in films. It was outstanding visually. Some of the monologues were a little difficult to follow and I definitely would have preferred to watch with subtitles.
The performance from Jon Voight particularly made it worth watching. His role was really hilarious.
Other people have compared the film to a comic book, and I think that's an effective way of describing it. It often tries to seem profound, but it's done in a whimsical light-hearted way.
Sometimes it felt disjointed, but then it also keeps you on your toes and doesn't always have smooth, coherent transitions.
