Anyone who rated this 1 star are heartless and didnt finish the film! 😅 anyone who thinks this does not happen in real life are privileged enough to not know. I know stories like this happen to everyday people! Anyone who is tired of hearing black stories and narratives should focus on other people’s narratives. There is nothing wrong if Tyler Perry wants to give voice to black people, so move along.👋
I watched this and I felt the pain that Taraji beautifully portrayed in the film. To know how it ends made it even harder to watch. It also shed light to wider societal issues - single moms,
lack of familial support/no more village, lack of healthcare, mental health issues etc
Were some storylines exaggerated? Yes. I know it doesn't happen in a day to anyone, but Im pretty sure those little scenes that build up to someone having a breakdown is believable. It might not be as dramatic but the microaggressions and the struggle of being a single parent trying to make it pay check to paycheck is pretty real to me.
Well done! I enjoyed the story and superb acting by Taraji and the bank manager 😅
