It’s okay. Definitely not deserving of a 5, due to the fact that the game can hardly keep up with itself, hitboxes are terrible, gameplay is lacking, but the open world is great if you’ve never played a game with an open world setting. There’s plenty of content in this game to keep you busy, but it’s not all that fun, especially with how broken some of the bosses and their respective arenas are, often spamming large AoE attacks without hesitation until there’s no where left for you to go that isn’t covered in lava, poison, scarlet rot, cursed, etc. The only thing carrying this game for me is the music and feel of the world, along with a handful of good bosses. It starts to become a boring hack and slash with souls mechanics into the later parts of the game, fighting enemies and bosses with abnormally high health bars, while getting one shotted, (a huge proportion of attacks will one shot you) and stun lock you into oblivion. The camera sucks as well, which is weird cause DS3s is pretty decent. I admit I’m not a soulsborne expert, but this game just isn’t deserving of a high score like some of its predecessors are (DS3/Bloodborne). I’m very close to completion and these are my qualms so far. 3.7/5 stars
