What a joke… and this was nominated for best picture? Given the recent passing of Pope Francis and the up coming Conclave, I was intrigued by the mystery of its process and nuance. I should have known better and trusted my initial instincts not to waste my time. Man, Hollywood really despises the church. They can’t contain themselves. This was the most petty, discusting, and obvious display of disdain for the Catholic Church they have ever presented. It is the epitemi of why the movie business is destroying itself from the inside. Not only was it completely laughable from a basic procedural perspective it drew upon the most ridiculous steriotypes of the Catholic Church. I can’t beleive such fine actors such as Fiennes, Tucci, and Lithgow could have read that script and not thought wow, this is a joke and a totally unbeleivable, and ignorant portrayal of the subject. I guess the saleries these days are such that they just can’t say no. Don’t waste the microwave popcorn bag on this one.

It was exactly what we all expected it to be. Great entertainment and a restored patriotic story. Far and few between these days.

Fun story, love Grillo, worth watching for free maybe a $2.99 rental. I like these types of recurring day movies when they are done well, Edge of Tomorrow, Ground Hog day, etc. This one is along those lines.

Great story very entertaining David Hyde Pierce is his usual fantastic self. A few holes but I can see past them because I was entertained. All in all good free movie.
