The movie is historically inaccurate and should be considered a fiction. The disclaimer at the end of credits says it all. Despite the intentionally misleading title and genre, "The story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred.". Subtle. Over all, the movie struck me as another portrayal of how women are misused, despite the facts of the situation this movie claims not to portray. Another Hollywood re-writing of history without taking responsibility for doing so. A bait and switch, this is not historical.
