Spoilers Ahead
Watched this movie just to kill time during a train journey.
Director Aashiq abu seems to have thoroughly enjoyed ' vikram' and wanted to come with something like it-the slow motion stuff with lot of gun firing.
But, Rifle club looked an utter disaster for me.
Flaws :
The most glaring flaw in the movie was very poor writing- especialy the dialogues. It looked so artificial when the characters were engaged in conversation- it looked they were like reading out lines of a script. For me dialogues were plain bullshit.
Wafer thin plot, no depth for characters. The entire plot can be summerised in one line: The 'club' engages in a gunfight with some gang to protect a couple. How does the club work? What are its sources of revenue? What other activites do they do other than shooring clay disks during the day and wild animals in the night? No subplots.
Pros:
Vani viswanath: With the minimum dialogue she has , she has portrayed the role brilliantly.
Background music: Good bgm. Unnecessary for some scenes.
