It was very different, but me and my 12 year old son loved it.
I grew up on with teenage mutant ninja turtles being my #1 cartoon, and video game, in the 80s and 90s.
The whole storyline, theme, culture, was the same, but this change in this movie is what was needed. The alliance made was so heartfelt; plus the great music and April's story was great. Kc Jones though, should've been in it.
The movie was great, highly recommend watching it. I'm definitely hoping for another movie, and keep Jackie Chan, he's awesome
