A very bland book; the plot is loose and has seemingly no direction, the narrator does not convey much emotion (perhaps this is intended by Harpman, but it made the book difficult to enjoy and relate to). Unlike the traditional plot of a book, there was not a clear-cut climax or storyline. However, the book was grounded on some interesting ideas.
