I had the pleasure and the honour of knowing Tony Shaw when we both served in 264 (SAS) Signal Sqn. I found Tony to be a very likable and honest person who was ambitious and had a great sense of humour. This book encapsulates all of Tony's personality and shows what can be accomplished when you have the tenacity and the drive to achieve. The book is an easy read, and very difficult to put down as Tony describes his life's adventures. From passing the SAS Selection Course, to his operational tours of duty before gaining a commission as an officer and then leaving the British Army and pursuing his career on the communications and security circuit. The book tells of working in various parts of the World in some not too savoury places and the people he meets and interacts with. Tony's knack of being able to pick up languages testify as to the intelligence of this man, tempered only by his insane loyalty to the Tranmere Rovers Football Club. (Only kidding here Mate !!!!!!!). This is one of the best autobiographies I have read and would have no trouble recommending it to any reader. Good one Tony!!
