For me a 9/10, Brand New Cherry Flavor definitely stands out among other shows offered by Netflix - set in LA in early 90s, a dark noir story about a young aspiring movie director trying to get big in Hollywood with a disturbing oneiric film she had made. When she strikes a deal with a shady witch-like hobo calling herself Boro the world around starts getting more and more surreal. There is quite a lot of gory scenes, over the top grotesque moments and surreal twists verging on David Lynch territory - which I utterly enjoyed. I haven't read the novel upon which this show is based therefore I cannot comment whether it is a faithful adaptation, but I give my highest recommendation to all searching for something 'different' on Netflix.
