I expected more from the film based on the reviews but it seems bit hyped. It is average one time watch according to me. Many points seem to hard to believe and uncooked considering its a thriller. Nostalgia, mumbai of 80s , rajnigandha song, improved Katrina kaif etc. Were some themes that attracted me to film. But, bit disappointed.

A good theme chosen for the film especially Delhi-wallas will identify to it lot where Commercialisation is rampant, and blue sheets everywhere tells the story that how the essence and beauty of the city, it's homes and family are slowly getting dismantled for development and freedom. How urban life is slowly breaking the joint family system where everyone is trying too hard but not reaching anywhere. Delhiites new found love for high rise Gurgaon and migration there of are some central theme of the film. Actors and story takes time to warm up after first half. In a family based film you would expect that bond and camaraderie to be present from first scene without needing too many dialogues. Some subplots girl-girl love angle, housekeepers romance just appeared too contrive Makers have been inspired by films such as Dil chahta Hai, Monsoon Wedding, Dill 6, Main meri patni aur woh etc. is quite evident with dialogues and Music :) Manoj Bajpayee, Simran and Suraj are good in their parts. You would expect to see more of emotional or humorous side of veterans such as Sharmila Tagore and Amol Palekar (something similar to what Waheeda Rehman did in Delhi 6) but it disappoint a bit. It is a good film but could have been even better with more thoughtful treatment and better developed storyline around the main characters.

Indecisiveness of youth and not able to see how things can be so fickle, what we are taking for granted will not last forever. Whether be it our parents, loved ones or people who come in to our life. There are so many insecurities and dilemma that run through our head before we can commit or we can decide and how much it can cost us is the message this film delivers. You have to loose something to realise it's value. So many points in films I could identify myself with when Dexter meets Em friend and he reveals he could never make her laugh and hated him so much and they hug each other. The way Dexter take his parents for granted not that he didn't love them or didn't want to be caring to them, but it was just too much happening around him that he wasn't able to handle. It makes you wonder why all this happens after many years and not at that point itself what stops us to be our true self at various points in life. This film took me back in time and to phases that i could change. But, yes life goes on and it keeps teaching you lesson and we should look to the future and be hopeful just like the main protagonist.

#October How mundane takes over and robs us of beauty of life on the name of Practicality... October attempts to take us close to this world where we feel most alive and soulful.. Love doesn't demand love in return and it defies logic and explanations. That one moment we can give anything to live again that went away like winter morning dew on jasmine flower...Only question will it work in today's time with fading attention and emotional connect. If you do not go in to too many technicalities it will...it did for me...
