Snooze fest. Not mysterious. Not thrilling. Setting is 100% unrealistic. Multiple bars in a small Missouri town? Grew up in one, population 2,000 people. One bar. Mansions in a small town? Get real. Focus the story on everyone who the killer isn’t- it’s obvious who it is!!!! C’mon. I thought this book had great reviews?! I expected a lot more. Not 13 year old girls being described inappropriately, talk of years of self harm, and porn. That’s not a story. It’s a girl with mommy issues and porn. Literally the whole story and then boom. The not killer is arrested only for the character to find out who the real killer is that’s so obvious!
Worst piece of garbage I’ve read in a long time. I almost quit it but hoped for something thrilling. If it were a physical copy of the book I would have burned it.
