I loved this movie! I watched it today for the first time. I am so confused as to why this movie has been so vilified. The music was fantastic, the dancing was amazing, and the storyline was on par with the original musical. Francesca Hayward was the breakout star and a triple threat for sure. You'll fall in love with her instantly. I know I did. Jennifer Hudson's singing is unmatched. And the rest of the supporting cast were great. This is a musical film! For those critics who gave it such a bad review as a failed movie, I think you failed to review this movie for what it truly is... a great musical film!
