I was so excited to see this movie and was confused by all of the bad reviews. I did some research and it only made me more excited to see it. When the first movie only cost $95 million and grossed and extra billion, the director gets to do whatever they want. And he did. This movie is a big F You to all the Fanboys that " related" to the first movie so much. The song choice and way they were sung added so much emotional weight that dialogue alone would not be able to. It was beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted, and told a story that probably made a lot of people uncomfortable. Ultimately this movie is about how the media turns these horrible people into celebrities and people that idolize them. If you have the ability to appreciate an excellent movie for being just that, then you will enjoy this one. If you only want to see the movie because it is a sequel and want the same movie as the first one, you will be sorely disappointed.

The only people that will enjoy this movie are those that have never seen any of the other Alien movies. The CGI face of the original synthetic from the '78 movie was so poorly done. Why would a synthetic get mad? They wouldn't. All of the costumes, lines, and other cinematography mimicked from the previous movies would only be appreciated by fans of the franchise. However, as I said initially, the only people that would enjoy this movie are those that would never recognize this stuff. The only way they could have made the foreshadowing more obvious was to say on the screen, " hint hint, you will see something about this in the next act." I cannot tell you how many times I have seen the other six movies. I will never watch this one again.

The first episode spent way too much time trying to show what a loser the main character is. The second episode seemed like the show had potential. It just went down the tube from there. Predictable, horribly acted, made absolutely no sense, and a complete waste of time. I fast forwarded through 75% of the show and still feel like I wasted my time. I really don't understand why it's popular.
