For all the people who hate this movie for its realistic themes this review will address this.
I am a young man that didn’t really want to see the movie at first because obviously it seems more of a movie for girls and didn’t really appeal to me. After I agreed to watch it with some friends I realized this movie was something more. It was an amazing blend of comedy, sadness, realism, and adventure that took me on a mountain range of emotions. I laughed at loud at many moments and nearly cried at others but I had to retain myself because I was sitting with friends. The movie was simply a masterful work of art done perfectly for cinema.
Now for those who hate this movie because many complain of it being man-hating and unrealistic, this movie took a step into a topic I feel has never been addressed before. This movie was an accomplishment alone as it shed new light on everyday struggles of many women and society in a whole, a topic I believe many studios don’t touch as it may result in backlash. The movie is not man-hating and is very realistic it’s just for many guys that hate on this movie they are too scared to admit it but we all know that the concepts shown in the film are true. The movie is the truth and it is something we already are familiar with but this movie shows it in ways that make you want to do something about it and change society. I left the theater feeling upset of the truth, what humans have become, to hurt others for no cause, to make people uncomfortable or feel unsafe, and to think they have more pros about being a different gender than the other. It made me see that humanity has to change, we can’t do this, those ideologies were something of the past and we must not let it continue here in modern age.
The movie was touching and heartfelt, it felt genuine like it wasn’t created to be watched and enjoyed but to sit in our minds so we can reflect back on it. I truly believe that this movie can change how many people see others behavior and work to fix it and to even repair their own. Like I said I am a young 15 year old kid that sat through this movie. This review is completely my own decision with no help from anybody. But I can truthfully claim that this movie was a masterpiece and made me feel so many emotions. It was an eye-opening and captivating tale of the modern age and it unveiled the heavy bitter truth on humanity in general.
I loved every second of it.
