Mad Men

Wes Anderson has made many films that I watch time & time again. Royal Tenenbaums, Hotel Budapest, Fantastic Mr Fox & Moonrise Kingdom. However, his last 2 films, French Dispatch & now Astroid City should not have been funded nor made. A time comes in every filmmakers career where they keep trying to “out do themselves” by digging deeper into & doubling down into their specific style. That’s what’s happening here. He’s simply gone too far down in the Wes Anderson rabbit hole & lost touch with some of the charm that made his original movies stand out. Astroid City is flat, monotone, dry & unwatchable. At this point I think it would be better for him to pass on the Wes Anderson style to some of us who cherish it more than he.
