I truly enjoyed the series. I don't know what the RE community expected because every zombie apocalypse movie or series I've ever seen started with something stupid. Obviously these teenage girls couldn't get into the lab that easily but could the animal activists have gotten into the lab in 28 Days Later either. I actually like the fact that they went between two timelines because it answers questions of why adult Jade is making so many bad decisions. Like if teenage Jade doesn't beat up the Billie's bully then maybe she doesn't have to go to the lab in the 1st place. I do hope that there is less back and forth between timelines going forward but it made sense for Season1. I really believe most of the negative reviews are disappointed that Jade isn't more like Alice. Alice was almost perfect in that she was smart, could fight and made mostly good decisions. Jade is smart but she can't fight and most of her decisions(made with goodattentions) backfire. The series so far definitely isn't a 5* but isn't a 1* either. I believe most people that aren't biased and like the zombie genres will see potential and see the direction of the series. Also, I am not a BOT!!!! 🤣. And I definitely am not on the payroll🤷🏾‍♂️
