First, as someone who's actually read the book, this movie doesn't do it 100% justice. However, you need to consider that's the case for ALL book-to-film adaptations. In that regard, this movie is wonderful; the acting is superb and the cinematography is fantastic. The issue is, I'm judging it through the lenses of the text, in which this movie, like any other, seems shallow in comparison. That's simply a consequence of adapting a 900 page novel to a 2 hour film. If you want the story, read the book. It's worth the dedication.
