This is my favorite Taylor Swift album. Ever. I say that as a fairly new Swiftie that appreciates every single song she has written in a different way (at least I try :). I really liked Folklore as well, but these songs are just on another level, emotion and production-wise. Some of my favorites are Gold Rush, ‘Tis the Damn Season, Tolerate It, long story short, cowboy like me. But seriously, every song on this album is so good, and I love how a lot of the lyrics are up for interpretation and not so closely related to her life (which works for her most of the time, but not in this one, with the exception of Marjorie and Coney Island) although I still love those.
Aaron has outdone himself with production - cowboy like me and champagne problems being the obvious examples, really haunting and heartfelt, perfectly matched to her vocals and lyrics. Definitely think this is an album that takes a while to fully appreciate but HIGHLY recommend taking the time to properly listen to it. Thank you so much, Taylor :)
