The interplay between the sisters was very interesting. They each had their flaws and attacked each other in subtle and not-so-subtle ways.
One comment: when someone is in hospice care (three experiences with hospice), they are not receiving IV fluids or attached to a monitor. The object is to keep them comfortable, not to prolong life that has no chance of continuing. Katie’s insistence on a DNR did not ring true as resuscitation would not occur during hospice care. And her thought that he might be taken to the hospital didn’t make sense for a hospice patient. I thought Angel came off as slightly oily and full of platitudes.
Loved the ending where the dad came out and talked to them before dying.

One of my favorites. Watching Janet McTeer adjust to and eventually appreciate the mountain culture is wonderful. Casting is amazing with great performances by Pat Carroll, Iris DeMent and others.

One of my all-time favorites. Newman gives a searing portrayal of a damaged man intent on bringing justice to bear. Great supporting cast, including James Mason and Charlotte Rampling.

I knew very little about WWI and nothing at all about the role of women in it, so this was a very interesting read.

I loved it and have watched it many times, often sharing it with houseguests. The evolution of a sheltered young girl to a strong, confident woman is something to behold. Beautiful casting in all the supporting roles, as well.

Loved every episode. Kate Winslet was amazing as world-weary, damaged Ware. As former residents of the Philadelphia area, we enjoyed all the local touches: Wawa, Yuengling beer, Phillies and Flyers shirts, etc.
