I totally disliked it. It made no sense, no substance. It was slow and boring. Michelle Pfeiffer, this film did her no favors. she plays a spoiled rich and then not so rich socialite. Would she really have committed suicide. I doubt it. She was boring, self-indulgent caustic, arrogant and not at all likeable. Very disappointing in this vapid role. The entire movie had no redeeming qualities. Her son follows her around like a puppy dog, has no character of his own. The other cast members were forgettable and stilted. Madame Reynaud was the only one who livened up the film in parts. Sorry this is a harsh review, but it just made me angry to see seemingly good actors wasted. Are they that hard up for money? Don't waste your time or money for this stupid film. If your interested in a brilliantly made film see Courier and Benedict Cumberland, thats a star.

This was incredibly moving, sensitive and caring. I learned through Foster's eyes the discovery of a new world and nature's beauty of all beings. The octopus, most human like, a brilliant creature, who also awakens his soul. This beautifully written, photographed documentary is brilliant.

Absolutely riveting, fabulous, the best thing I have seen on Netflix, Kudos to the writer, a fascinating tale, brilliantly acted by Elizabeth and the entire cast everyything about it is Perfect! I loved it and could not stop watching. Chess is a breathtaking game, exciting to watch at this caliber. Oscar-winning!

Hope it comes back, I disagree with other reviewers, I think it is well done and well acted and gives insight to this period in India. People (reviewers) are so jaded. Bring it back next season, must find out what happened to baby August.

It makes me want to travel to India and see Amma and purify in the Ganges. I loved this movie, so beautifully filmed, it takes us into another world and culture, to see the faces and lives of India, very realistic. The music, the customs, the people. A fascinating film, and brilliant acting by all. Le Louche mades an interesting turn around, think the child, and the father. . A thoroughly enjoyable escape. See it!

Totally absorbing, Baptiste is excellent, so glad to see such a smart show. The actor playing Baptiste is brilliant, so intelligent, kudos to the writers as well. Look forward to watching it every Sunday evening. Thank you.

Excellent, and exciting. Fascinating subjects, I do hope they will all be back for another season. The cast is superb, as is the writing, and directing.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie, it was intense, mysterious, emotional, dark, thought provoking and brilliantly acted. I was moved and sympathetic to all the performances but especially the young and older Theodore and Boris. The light, the music, the costumes were well thought out, and it was beautifully filmed. The critics are much too harsh,I suggest people make up their own minds after seeing it. It is a monumental feat to produce and direct a serious film such as this. I say Bravo!
