One of the best thrillers I have watched, its suspenseful and horrifying and keeps your heart pounding till the end credits roll. Kudos to both the leads, in particular I like how the hero is a flawed human being n even quite a jerk when he was 1st introduced but as much as he is a jerk there is still humanity left of him, a guilty conscience that makes the difference between him and the antagonist, a cold blooded murderer. My personal fav, in fact I like this more than I saw the devil another famous Korean thriller

Visually stunning movie, from the set up to the costumes , excellent art direction and cinematography. The lead actors playing Bai Juyi & Kukai plays out the contrasts in characters in a subtle but effective manner, you will be convinced with their partnership and team work in solving the murder mystery. The second half of the story which supposedly highlights the different characters love for Lady Yang felt flat, it is as though they were enamoured with her beauty and hence the deep love shown doesn't get to me. I would have preferred it if it is the pet cat that took vengeance out of loyalty for Lady Yang. I took out 1 star due to that. Overall it is still an enjoyable watch

Animation should be treated like a film its not only for kids, this was the message that Guillermo is imparting to viewers and I felt he has successfully done that with the adaptation of Pinocchio story which many may felt its a story for kids. Trust in Guillermo and his team visionary maestro in creating beautiful exquisite looking creatures and inserting the underlying message of unconditional love, acceptance of one identity and appreciation for life. I wept towards the end, the meaning of life was so profound, its not how long we live but how we live our life that matters.

Watching this will leave you in despair and may even bawled your eyes out but I still highly recommend this movie as a must watch. An anti-war movie with all the right ingredients from the story, casting, music score , cinematography and art direction, it's A+. There are no heroes to be celebrated, no victory to feel proud of, war is devastating and misery to every normal civilians that experienced it. Lives were taken, bodies discarded and replace with new recruits, the soldiers were merely the pawn of the greedy & selfish leaders.
