I’m a die hard Bethesda RPG fan. Been waiting for this game ever since announced and had high expectations. Overall the game is fun and worth the buy. However it was pretty underwhelming as a whole. Not as immersive as Fallout or Skyrim and it seemed like they put all their effort into making this massive universe with pretty views for exploring but then didn’t add any sustenance at all. Most of the game felt pretty empty and boring unless you were doing the main missions. Overall pacing was pretty bad, the game is slow as a snail and I usually enjoy slower games. I was genuinely bored for about half of my play through. Played on very hard and flew through the game like nothing. Literally throwing away credits for most of the game just to keep the exploration and miscellaneous missions interesting. Also, this game is bugged straight to hell. Not your normal quirky Bethesda bugs but game breaking bugs everywhere. Make sure to save as much as possible or you could easily have an entire play through ruined. Overall, I had fun. But it was about half the game I was expecting. There are a lot of issues overall but if you’re into Bethesda RPGs it can be fun. Just don’t have too high of hopes here.

It’s clear that Disney is focusing all of their resources on advertising and hardly any on.. well anything else. The acting is pretty sub par here on every character except maybe the main 2 character (Rosario and Natasha). Even then, I can’t tell if Rosario’s acting is bad or if her character writing is bad, but something is definitely off with her. If this wasn’t Star Wars, but instead a CW show that came out 10+ years ago, I’d be impressed. The fact that this is the one of the largest franchises in movie history, with the largest movie studio in history behind it, is beyond embarrassing. I’ve truly seen better special effects and battle choreography from amateur YouTube videos that came out 5+ years ago. Everything about the show seems very shallow and hard to watch. Bottom line; bad CGI/effects, awful battle choreography/mediocre acting with maybe a decent story that I can’t even follow while being distracted by how bad everything else is, makes this show pretty hard to watch. If you can’t nail the special effects, use less. Andor did a fantastic job with the “less is more” variety, so it can definitely be done. This is just disappointing. And yes I get Rebels. I’ve watched it all and was beyond excited for Thrawn. I don’t even want to watch it now though because they ruined so much already, I’m sure they’ll ruin Thrawn as well. Good luck to anyone watching this that isn’t hooked on the nostalgia gravy train.
