If you've read the Bernard Cornwell books, don't waste your time on this series. I paid for the MGM + app for this show and have already cancelled. In an effort to be politically correct, the producers have put out a poorly concocted version of the book. It fails. If you've never read the BC books, you may like it (production values are pretty good), but Cornwell fans will be GREATLY disappointed.
