Watch this movie only if you haven't already read the book. It's not completely horrible to watch, but knowing what's supposed to happen could easily ruin the experience, it did for me. If I weren't biased I'd give it two, or maybe thee stars, but I am biased and bitter and did not enjoy myself, so one star it is.

I've never seen a mobster film so I don't have anything to go on, but I enjoyed it. Regardless of the poor ratings, I think the acting was superb. I was mostly intrigued by the idea of seeing Tiffany Haddish and Melissa McCarthy together, and in serious, non comedic roles, and I certainly was not disappointed.
