The book by Agatha Christie is by far superior. The director of the miniseries created a confusing rendition of the original. Not only was it hard to follow, but it took great liberty with Christie's depiction of the family to the point where they are unrecognizable.
The only evidence of Christie's work is the family names and the fact that there indeed was a murder!

The entire book seemed too preposterous. There is no way Americans would use some of those British expressions when conversing with each other. There definitely needs to be an editor to Amercanize these books when they are sold to US stores. The violence has now gone over the top and shattered credulity.
