The Booker must have become a measure of topicality as much as craft - perhaps that's why it was shared for this one. This book takes an interesting structure - exploring the relationships between twelve characters, but the scaffholding isn't well-enough concealed by character development or plot, so it feels contrived, and more like a list or manifesto of issues the Author wanted to include. The writing style others have slammed I quite liked and didn't even notice once I got into it.
