Saw this at Denver's Buell Theatre. High marks for engaging, toe-tapping songs performed by talented vocalists and musicians. If you're looking for an evening of energized music, sometimes untintelligible but clever lyrics, intermittent blinding flashes of light and glitzy costumes that will not ask the audience to think too deeply or critically about the subject matter, this show delivers. If you're looking for a nuanced show-don't-tell compelling story arc that elevates the voices of six ill-fated Queens and captures their plights in a single Act, save your $$ and watch the songs on YouTube.
