I’m only familiar with the Solti on Decca with VPO and Karajan on DG with BPO. I prefer the flow and drive of Karajan but the sheer opulence of Decca engineering lavished on Solti is irresistible. Ideally I would have the Karajan married with Decca, given the improbability of that alliance I’m glad I possess both, Karajan on LP and Solti on CD and streaming.

Don’t waste your precious life. Banal script, long and unnecessarily drawn out scenes and situations. Clever cinematography though, but totally ridiculous theme.

As a Countdown addict but not possessing a maths brain like yours, I wonder if I’m alone in thinking that I would relate better with your solutions if you simplified them. I dread it when you start by “...couple of ways for this....you COULD have said..” and rather than giving us an answer we can relate to you go for the spectacular every time. I’m pretty sure it makes others like me feel discouraged that it’s all too difficult. I’m sure the contestants don’t mind being told there was an easy answer!
