One of the most truthful shows on the hard realities of urban living that I have ever seen!!! Little details - like the 'water' added to the 'milk' so that everyone can get a bowl of cereal. OR the 'government' issued 'yellow' block of cheese and huge box of plain oatmeal that Debbie gets at the Food Bank SCREAM authenticity. The writers either lived in poverty at one point - or really researched life on Welfare and Food Stamps. The acting is superb ..... William Macy is amazing as 'Frank' ...... his key role is the turning point that the whole show's axis spins on. Frank will make you both love him/hate him. Macy plays an alcoholic - low life father - down to the most minute details.... yet still manages to keep it humorous. The whole family is complex and full of drama. Watching them get their hustle on will highly entertain you.

IF YOU NEED AN ESCAPE ..... from Covid19, daily worries, unemployment - the world, then this is the series for you!!! The characters are lovingly developed - but flawed - each in their own unique way. The setting is almost like a narcotic - the beauty of the homes, both inside and out, their perfectly manicured emerald-green lawns and lush gardens lull you into a false sense of serenity. But underneath it all is an electric undercurrent - and that is supplied by the talented ensemble of ladies that make up the cast. The writing is superb and creative, so the show hums along at a really nice pace. Try it - you won't regret it!!!

JUST AN AMAZING DOCUMENTARY!!! The underwater scenery is stunning!!! I learned so many things that I never knew about an Octopus. For instance, did you know it can use it's arms to 'walk' along the bottom of the ocean? Yep --- bipedal!!! Just strolling along!!! I was blown away seeing that!!! It's also incredibly touching to see the relationship develop between the filmmaker and the Octopus too - he actually got to the point where he could hold 'her' in his arms!!! There are aggressive sharks that hunt this octopus and you will be shocked to see how 'she' outwits them. This is not your average 'under the sea' movie --- it's SO MUCH MORE!!!

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I admit - I was skeptical at first - but from the very first episode I fell in love with the characters. Cobra Kai is a really nice distraction and I highly recommend it! It's fast paced & colorful visually ..... plus moments of 'Zen' & Karate are interwoven throughout the show, so you feel like you are experiencing something positive & life affirming. The show is a total winner!
