This play shook me when I was young and first read it. No-one was yet dealing with the issues of he 3rd Reich and Catholicism's role in it. (The Konkordat). The whole construction of the play by this then new author was revolutionary and followed in the tradition of the German's great authors who had rattled the cage, Goethe, Schiller and Lessing. It made an immense impact - I re-read it 2021 and the impact6 for me as a German born in the war period remains. Brilliant mind behind this play, Read it to understand Germans - it helps a lot.

If you lived in the sixties or wish you had then you would have discovered this band, with extraordinary lead singer Scott Walker, who became a very interesting experimental musician. The late Scott had a most extraordinary voice, he was much more than just a good looking chap. Go and get this album and get the one with Dylan's Love minus zero song on while you are at. This cover is much superior to Bob's. Bob was a brilliant writer of course and occasionally had some rough charm with his performance but the Walker Brothers showed how to treat this song. A 60s song and wonderful album.

It has been ages since it was released, but I still love it just as much, listening just now to Lady of the Dawn, I am a sucker for rock and orchestra and strong singers thrown in as a bonus. Batt's arrangements have stood the test of time. Not everything has to be "punkish" although it has its charm or can. So The Suite remains brilliant in my book.

This is an essential album if you like rock - if you like female rock singers Janis is nearly unequalled in my view. It is a tragedy that she died from an overdose - and after all those years her albums are still sounding fantastic.

An oldie but a goody, stumbled across this in the itunes shop, and could not resist. This legendary band had just about anybody who is anybody play with them. Excellent blues album in my book. The best thing was the price. Go and have a look at this and of course listen. Of course, nearly forgot, this is the debut album of Mick Taylor at just 18 years of age.

It is very difficult to rank the Stones albums. Once you begin though and agree that Their Satanic Majesties Request is probably the least meriting positive comments, then judging gets tough. It is even worse if one saw the Stone practically in every decade since the 60s - they have survived the loss of Brian, and other replacements dropping out, then more recently the loss of Charlie - where does that leave one. Go back to Sticky Fingers and feel happy and impressed with the quality of this album Is it the best - I don't know I may feel different tomorrow and return to the early singles collections (when records were proper records - bring back the Juke Box).

It remains a brilliant compilation album. It shows the Straits best work work - I continues to listen to it regularly. One has the chance to pick individual musicians contributions, just listen to MK or the drumming or the bass which is always eventful. It needs to be in everyone's collections and sits happily with other greats productions. Including Hendrix, Mozart, you name it. Yes the Straits are not touring anymore - they have nothing to prove but they left us the best and it is on this album

Bobby Darin was a brilliant jazz and pop singer, composer and performer. I especially love 'Multiplication' the song - it is funny (and true) from the film 'Come September'. He also did a brilliant job on Mack the Knife. If you do not have a Bobby Darin album in your collection get out and get one.

They just remain up there. Great album. Miss Charlie's drumming no disrespect to his colleague but Charlie had something special. If you have been listening to the Stones since the 60s then you have to buy the new album. Great stuff guys. Thank you
