I honestly did not have high hopes going in, and that is based solely on seeing the previews. My expectations were very low and I’m glad i kept them low because what i saw was a hot steaming pile of garbage. The story was way over the place, way too many characters introduced for literally no reason, too many subplots/plots, etc. The movie just seemed to be one big fan service cash grab. I have no idea why they had Lydia look exactly the same…like seriously after all these years she still has the same exact hair style? Like come on. Besides that, The reason the first one worked so well was because BeetleJuice was more of a mystery. Did you know that in the original he was literally only in the movie for a total of 17 min? So when he did get screen time it was super impactful and made you want more. This time around he’s almost in the entire movie and I felt he was trying too hard and the acting was just not that great…also I don’t know why Jenna is always playing the angry daughter role..that was just too much.. and that lip synch/dance in the end was horrible, nothing like the first one..all in all i don’t think I’ll be seeing this ever again.

These reviews are top notch ha ha, if there’s anything, at least we have these reviews that claim this is the worst movie ever made! Okay here is my take. Christmas movies are usually cheesy..plain and simple, everyone knows that. I think for this movie, it just lacked empathy and a real plot. It was just kind of all over the place and yes there is bad acting but who cares when you have the actors you do in this movie! These actors make up for the terrible acting and plot. Mind you, I’m at least two d r i n k s in as I’m writing this review. So yes, definitely do whatever you gotta do to lower your expectations when it comes to this movie and you will have a great time !

I don’t know about Tom Hanks performance here, he plays it a little bit different than the original but I’m guessing because they’re adding a more tragic background story about what happened to his IRL family. I was shocked when i found out Joseph Gordon Levitt plays cricket lol cuz he did pretty good job. The story is literally almost the exact same as the original cartoon. It only steers off at the very end and kinda makes its own ending but it’s still good. The actor that plays as Pinocchio did a good job as well. And of course Cynthia Erivo as fairy godmother was amazing, she’s an awesome singer and i lover her work. I don’t know why people are hating so much on this movie. Wahh wahh wahh all i hear LOL
