Flat characters, even from the first chapter any interactions feel forced- like children playing with static dolls, pretending to be adults. Tried so hard to sound intelligent it actually feels less intelligent. Not sure if this is the case for all copies of this book, but the lack of any punctuation distinguishing when a character is speaking also makes it a literal effort just to follow what is happening. Being forced to read this for college and I will throughly be criticizing this in class.
