A NEUROTIC WOMAN'S CHILDHOOD TRAUMA STEMMING FROM AN ABUSIVE FATHER, RUINS POTENTIAL ROMANCE WITH A "WAY-TOO-HOT" NEUROSURGEON; REKINDLES RECKLESS "VIRGINITY-LOSING" AFFAIR WITH HOMELESS CLASSMATE, NOW HUNK WAITER. SHAME THE ONLY THING WORTH VIEWING WAS THE BOSTON SCENERY.
THE ACTING WAS EXCELLENT, THE WARDROBE AND SETTINGS WERE STUNNING, BUT INDIFFERENCE REMAINS WITH UNDERDEVELOPED CHARACTERS THAT HAVE "MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH" STICKERS PLASTERED ON THEIR FOREHEADS. THIS MOVIE DOESN'T CONVERT OVER FROM THE BOOK PAGES EASILY, APROX. 2 HOURS OF FILM AND SOME WERE LEFT WONDERING, MAYBE THIS MOVIE SHOULD HAVE JUST ENDED AND LEFT US OUT?!
