"Oppenheimer" is one of those rare movies that excited me to watch it on the first day of its release. I'm not a fan of biopics and drama films, but this one intrigued me as it showcased the birth of the nuclear era through the mind of a brilliant physicist and how, albeit tragically, the events of the invention of the atomic bomb eventually contributed to the rise of America as a superpower, ultimately changing the course of history. The moral dilemma endured by Oppenheimer and the shift in his personality following the aftermath of the bombings were brilliantly shot and captured. The film is thought-provoking, well-crafted, and the narration is brilliant, as usual. At least that much is expected when it is directed by an intellectual filmmaker like Nolan. This film will remain a timeless classic for generations to come.
